Liberty thumbs

A few years back they put in a small replica of the Statue of Liberty at the beach in my hometown of Sandpoint, Idaho. I'm not sure why. But I decided to hold a thumbs up pose for 30 seconds to capture this shot in the middle of the night.

Almost every Tuesday I go to one of my favorite bars with friends for Taco Tuesday. I don't even like tacos, but this place leaves me craving them. Don't even get me started on how good the Margaritas are...

The USS Sampson was visiting Seattle for Fleet Week. I couldn't help by wait in line 3 hours to take a tour. It was well worth it just for this snapshot.

More old evidence...

Doing some cleaning up of files on my computer today I found this evidence of early days "thumbs up" action. This was me showing off my excitement over my bunk space at Camp Muir. I slept in that bunk next to about 18 others for about 5 hours before summiting Mt. Rainier. Definitely a thumbs up moment for me.

Oldest evidence...

The oldest evidence I could find on the interwebs was me giving the thumbs up on the summit of Mt. Rainier. I'm quite proud of this moment in my life and think it's one of the most "thumbs up" worthy things I've done.

Everyone has their thing. It's that thing that they do - maybe it's something they say, a goofy look they make, how they react to something - just that thing they don't realize is their thing until someone points it out as their thing. It's recently been pointed out to me that my thing is giving the thumbs up in a picture. Because people said it was my thing, I find that I now have to live up to doing my thing. So here we go.
